UI Designer
2021-22
I spent 6 amazing months at Absurd leading up to my move to Australia. I joined at the perfect time and was onboarded onto the Entain project; I learned so much regarding the design thinking process during this project.
I worked closely with a small team comprised of two UI designers, a UX researcher and a Design Director. We tackled all aspects of research and design together, giving me the opportunity to experience all phases of the design thinking process.
McCann Manchester
Digital Designer
2013-21
I started at McCann as an apprentice and worked there as a Digital Designer for the following 8 years. In that time I was involved in a plethora of digital projects for a wide range of high profile clients.
A portion of my time was spent working alongside a team of UX Consultants, Developers and Producers to deliver user-focused products and experiences. This was always the area of design I most enjoyed working in, using the UX teams insights to create effective solutions.
I also worked heavily with the Aldi Studio team to create artwork for all of Aldi’s digital marketing. This mostly consisted of concepts for campaigns, artwork rollout across Aldi’s digital platforms and working with the social team to create social collateral.
Street Support
Digital Designer
2019-21
For a number of years I worked with the team at Street Support, an organisation who connect and support local people and charities to help put an end to homelessness.
Each time the organisation branches out to a new city I’ll create an illustration for their website that includes some of the most recognisable landmarks from that particular area. I found this challenging as illustration was quite new to me, but I had a lot of fun creating them and the team loved the artwork I produced. It was also great to know I was helping such a great team tackle an important issue.
